Hello, I'm Karen Greene, and I'm thrilled to connect with you here. Let me share a bit about myself—I'm happily married to my husband, Greg, and we're proud parents to two wonderful daughters and a cherished son-in-law.

I've been part of a law practice in my hometown, where I've worn different hats over the years, serving as the business manager and previously as the accountant. However, my journey took a significant turn when I turned 55 and became deeply interested in functional medicine.

The motivation behind my shift in focus was deeply personal. Both of my parents had passed away from cardiovascular disease, my dad at age 38 and my mom at age 65. Determined to understand and tackle the root causes of these health issues, I delved into the world of functional medicine, seeking answers and solutions to ensure both quantity and quality of life for myself.

Throughout my journey, I've closely followed innovative functional physicians, eager to stay abreast of the latest discoveries and insights in the field. Despite maintaining a nutritious diet and regular physical activity, I faced a significant health scare at the age of 63 when I experienced a heart attack, necessitating a stent insertion. It was a shock to both myself and my family, but it also served as a pivotal moment of realization.

I firmly believe that my commitment to a healthier lifestyle played a crucial role in my survival. Immediately following the heart attack, I immersed myself in regular walks, which helped restore much of the damage to my heart. This experience reinforced my desire to share my knowledge and passion for nutrition and wellness with others.

Soon after this, I embarked on a new journey, enrolling in coursework to become a certified health coach through the Institute of Integrative Nutrition.  I've gained invaluable insights into the multifaceted nature of wellness.

Through my journey, I've learned that true wellness encompasses so much more than just nutrition. Managing stress, prioritizing quality sleep, staying physically active, connecting with nature, and fostering community are all essential ingredients for a healthy and fulfilling life.

My mission is to empower you to make lifestyle changes that prevent chronic diseases, decipher your body's unique needs, and establish sustainable habits that promote health and vitality as you age. Together, let's embark on a journey to vibrant living—because life is meant to be lived to the fullest!
